Skill Development and Support for Overeaters

  • Do you use food to soothe, entertain, numb out, avoid and comfort?
  • Is food ruling your life?
  • Are you consumed with thoughts of food or ways to compensate for overeating?
  • Are you a closet eater?
  • Have you tried and failed numerous diets?
  • Do you wonder how to fit self-care into your busy life?

We all overeat at times. People eat to celebrate the good times and to comfort in the difficult ones. Reaching for the extra dessert after a stressful day at work or finishing the whole bag of chips following a fight with your partner isn’t something to be alarmed about. But when eating is used as a primary way to deal with uncomfortable feelings and begins to interfere with everyday living, it can indicate a serious problem.

I use a coaching and skill development model for helping people with emotional and binge eating patterns of behavior. This is a personalized, goal-oriented approach that enables you to shift behavioral habits and attitudes away from an obsession with food towards healthy lifestyle choices.

You will learn to:

  • Replace self-defeat with self-care.
  • Apply specific skills to manage the emotional triggers that lead to overeating.
  • Develop a life style that supports positive eating behavior.
  • Make healthful choices around food.
  • Believe in yourself and your ability to make change in your life.
