About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a graduate degree from Simmons College School of Social Work. I have been in private practice in Newton, MA for over 25 years treating adolescents over age 16, and adults, as well as having worked in a variety of settings including community mental health agencies serving children and families, and schools in the greater Boston area.


Professional affiliations include the National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Eating Disorders Association, and The Center for Self Leadership. I also have my licensure as a school social worker and adjustment counselor in the state of Massachusetts.


I have had extensive training in Internal Families Systems (IFS) therapy, a compassionate, non-pathologizing model of psychotherapy, as well as a strong interest in, and personal practice of mindfulness meditation, a powerful tool used to supplement and enhance the treatment of both physical and emotional disorders including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain and emotional dis-regulation.
